Vladimir Alhov MDMy passion for holistic medicine developed as a result of a personal medical condition. In recent years I have been able to restore my health by utilizing a holistic approach. My physical and mental health is now better than it was 5 years ago. My approach decreases the risk of age-related disease, improves sleep quality, increases physical and sexual vitality, and keeps the body lean and strong. This is accomplished through customized diet and nutritional support, medical detoxification, manual therapy, injections, and patient education.
I am trained conventionally as a pain management specialist. I have seen great success treating joint pain. Pain affects a great number of people. “More than one-quarter of Americans (26%) age 20 years and over – or, an estimated 76.5 million Americans – report that they have had a problem with pain of any sort that persisted for more than 24 hours in duration.” Many patients living with chronic pain are young, and often unable to work and optimally function during the most productive years of their lives.
I offer a comprehensive program that is individual for each person helping with problems such as fibromyalgia, chronic neck and lower back pain, chronic headaches, chronic arthritis, herpes zoster, and post-surgical pain. After the initial consultation, an individual program is developed incorporating holistic modalities. These include osteopathy, electrical stimulation of bioactive points, supplements, diet modification, injections, exercise, acupuncture and patient education. One of the best methods of treatment of joint pain is an injection with ozone in or around the joint. It helps to decrease pain and inflammation, improves range of motion in the joint, and activates local metabolism and the regenerative process. It requires from 4 to 8 injections once a week. The patient can then experience pain relief and improved joint function for one year without additional intervention.
Long lasting results come from incorporating an exercise routine and supplements. The more compliant the patient is with exercise and dietary recommendations, the more beneficial and sustainable the outcome.
