Holistic Psychiatry
Holistic Psychiatry is an innovative approach to treating emotional and physical conditions by using sophisticated contemporary methods enriched by ancient healing arts. The goal is to facilitate healing and restore innate balance and happiness. We are complex beings, reflecting the world we live in. We can be understood on multiple levels: physical, energetic, mental, and spiritual. So, our maladjustments and diseases and their treatment is approached on five fundamental body levels: Physical, Electromagnetic, Mental, Intuitive, and Spiritual. Using treatment methods from different body levels provides a synergistic response. There is a place for laboratory testing and physical examination, energetic evaluation and intuitive healing. The true process of healing is magic incorporating science, creative art, and an act of sharing.

Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is based on the belief that your body has an innate ability to heal itself. It is our belief that sickness and disease occur because your body has forgotten or is missing something that is inherent to its function. Naturopathic medicine stresses health maintenance through disease prevention. Our goal is to work with you in finding the underlying cause of your sickness rather than treating or suppressing the symptoms. Suppressing symptoms can frequently lead to more serious health consequences in the future. Naturopathic doctors help you come up with specific recommendations that will aide in you feel better and healing. We work on the physical, emotional and spiritual planes to allow these changes to occur.

- First do no harm
- Identify and treat the cause
- Doctor is teacher
- Treat the whole person
- Prevent illness
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one facet of Chinese medicine, a large grouping that has its roots in ancient Daoism. The theory is based on harmonizing the two fundamental, polar opposites at play in the universe– yin and yang. Within these polar opposites are contained all the organs and energetic systems of the body. Each organ has an associated meridian (channel) associated with it on the surface of the body. Disharmonies within the organ system, or disharmonies of the body’s qi and blood are regulated by needling the proper acupuncture point.
Chinese Herbs
Chinese herbology (like acupuncture), has its roots in Chinese Daoism. Monks would travel to the countryside and experiment with wild herbs, learning their properties and effects. Herbs are traditionally given in combination with other herbs in formulas. Some herbal formulas are hundreds or thousands of years old, while others are based on modern medical research.
